Smart = Shared Multimedia Access to Resources for Teaching

ITS is responsible for the selection, installation, delivery, maintenance, and user training for all instructional media equipment in the classrooms, labs, and academic departments located in all buildings on the UM-Flint campus.

For a listing of mediated classrooms (rooms with equipment permanently installed) and more information on the equipment available, please select "Equipped Classrooms" from the menu. To order equipment delivered to a classroom, please use the equipment order form. For information about reserving the mobile laptop cart, select "Mobile Classroom" from the menu.

- General classrooms and departmental classrooms in the W. S. White Building have a “Smart Cart" that include a Pentium 4 Computer with DVD and wireless network card installed. The cart also has a DVD/VCR Combo, Document Camera and Sharp Data Projector.
- Most mediated rooms (in French Hall and the Murchie Science Building) have the same type of equipment as the Smart Cart, plus a wireless keyboard and mouse.
- There are numerous rooms (in FH and MSB) that are equipped with a TV/VCR/DVD Combo.
