Homepage Project . . . A team of ITS staff has been working since Fall 2005 to create policies and procedures to provide personal Web page space in the Home (H:) drive for UM-Flint students, faculty and staff during Winter 2006. In the past, faculty and staff have received Web space upon request, with the address of their site located at spruce.flint.umich.edu/~uniqname or www.umflint.edu/~uniqname.   Students had no space for creating a web site. The new web space address for students, faculty, and staff is homepage.umflint.edu/~uniqname.  Each student as well as faculty and staff will automatically receive a Web-enabled folder called "homepage" located in their H: drive and also have access to their web space using FTP.  Faculty and staff who have developed their web site on the Spruce server may continue to use that space. A Homepage Gallery, under development, can be used by students, faculty, and staff to list their personal web site and/or blog.  Visitors can search for web sites by name, uniqname, and keywords (such as major, hobbies, and interests).  Links to Quicknotes and Web design resources will also be provided.
